hi! i'm brian! i like to do lots of fun things. there's a list of some of them next door. if you want an autobiography or something I guess I could give you a teaser paragraph to hold you over until i finish writing my memoir. i grew up on vashon island, which is a fun little place in some ways and not so fun in others, but i managed to meet lots of crazy creative people while i was there and this has no doubt influenced the direction of my life, which is omnidirectional. i like to write and perform musical compositions and am currently playing some stuff with my drummer buddy brandt in a project titled the brian hildebrand band. we're looking for others who would like to participate, so if you or someone you know would be interested you'd best let me know. in the meantime, i occasionally still do my wannabe dylan solo routine. words are an amazing thing i've found. i like to manipulate language in any way i possibly can. i'm writing the film of the great american novel and trying to write a screenplay about the second coming at the moment, kind of a liberal vulgarian response to those stupid left behind books. which isn't to say that i'm just completely mocking religion and spirituality, 'cause i'm actually really into that kind of stuff, just more in a universalist, we're all in this boat together kind of way, in fact we are part of the boat once you get down to it. i finished up some silly film school, learning all the technical nuts and bolts of filmmaking, now that i've got that under my belt i plan on directing crazy independent movies featuring lots of sex, drugs and rock and roll in them. in the meantime, i'm kinda taking a break from life and getting all my ducks in a row in preperation for the great duck parade. quack!
